How To Prepare For Your Therapy Consultation

  • Make a list of questions to ask your potential therapist such as: Logistics of the session, rates/insurance coverage, theoretical orientation, preferred means of communication, experience or specialties, credentials, and anything else that you would like to know to establish comfort level. 

  • Have an idea of your availability to make scheduling easier.

  • Make sure your insurance card is accessible.

  • Do research on the therapist by looking up professional social media accounts or business website to get a better idea of who they are and the services they provide.
